Angie's obsessed with building spaces to dig into topics people shy away from. As a creative consultant, athlete, and podcaster herself, her work centers on diversifying outdoor media and expanding access to adventure for underrecognized communities. As an all-women's trail race director and program director for a women's outdoor nonprofit, she's seen firsthand how honest stories can shift adventure culture. Some of her favorite past adventures include trekking to Everest Base Camp, rafting the Grand Canyon, running a 100 mile ultramarathon, climbing five Cascade Volcanoes in a campaign for gender equity, and cycling through rural Portugal. Angie has her WFR, AIARE 1, and Swiftwater Rescue Technician, and has previously served on Search + Rescue, taught wilderness first aid, led backcountry trips as an adaptive guide, and built the outdoor program for Girl Scouts in the Pacific Northwest. Angie lives in White Salmon, WA, sitting between Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Learn more about Angie at angielake.com and instagram.com/angvswild, or read her spicy takes at bloodsweatfear.substack.com.
